A while ago, I posted about me struggling with reconciling differences between what I can do and what I want to do. That post came from a place of major frustration while working on a submission for the Project Selvage contest.
The results came out last week, and while I am not surprised that I did not make the cut, I still think my design is worthy of something..maybe with a few tweaks.
Anyways, what I am getting at is that I have ordered a swatch of the fabric from spoonflower! And after it arrives and I verify it prints the way I want, it will be up for sale.
the design that didnt make it: http://www.spoonflower.com/fabric/530348
My question to you, blog readers, would you be more likely to order through spoonflower directly? Or would you rather order through a site such as Etsy? There are pros and cons to both, with spoonflower, I dont have to take care of the shipping and packaging, or put out my own money at the outset. However, currently print times are horrendus, and it may take awhile. With Etsy, I have to take care of ordering, shipping, packaging and a few misc. fees that pop up.
long story short - spoonflower=long shipping times, lower cost, etsy=shorter shipping times, higher cost.
(right now, I have a design up for sale through spoonflower..but no sales..)
